Veritasium
Derek Muller started producing education content for YouTube in 2011 and is still going strong. Typically, he poses scientific questions to random people walking by, in order to find out what the common misconceptions are about that subject. He then goes on to give the answer by interviewing experts in the field and doing experiments.
Kurzgesagt
You must have seen at least one of their cutely animated explanation videos. Kurzgesagt publishes one video every month in a unique art style that captures difficult topics in bite-sized explanations. They don’t shy away from difficult topics like our immune system, global warming, black holes, quantum computers, or loneliness.
FreshSaga
If you are into self-improvement, you should definitely check out FreshSaga’s YouTube channel. You’ll find videos on how to get out of your quarter-life crisis, fight procrastination and explainer videos on different personality types.
Jared Owen
Jared is 3D animator from the United States, who makes beautiful animations on how things work. His videos unveil the inner mechanics of everyday items and complex machinery, so that we can take a closer look at all the engineering that’s normally not visible to the naked eye.
CrashCourse
CrashCourse publish educational videos on a weekly basis on a wide variety of topics. These topics include History, Physics, Chemistry, Math and Computer Science, and they are all nicely divided into playlists.
